Already a silver medal winner of the Melbourne Wine show this wine exudes quality. Classic feminine Pinot noir. Made from old lines from our upper Yarra Vineyard, it’s aroma of chatty cherries and forest floor mix with a pinch of dried herbs is enough to get the taste buds salivating. Well not A blockbuster style this wine display is the sappy a fruit flavours as opposed to the slightly Cloying flavours of ripper styles of this writing and this is why is Richard have to get the balance just right with a lovely long lingering finish. Drinking beautifully now this wine epitomises just how good upper Yarra Pinots can be. Seriously good Pinot superb winemaker Kate Goodman.
Very bright, clear crimson-purple; how old the vines are that produced this pinot we don’t know, but the superb colour and pristine, linear red fruits (cherries and strawberries to the fore) suggest old vines on a distinguished site; the acidty and tannins will carry the wine as the fruit becomes ever more complex.
95 Points James Halliday.
